God is taking us on a journey of discovery and we want you to come along with us.Everyone has faith. At least some kind of faith, in someone or something. You may have faith in God, your savings account, your political party, or even your football team. But we’re not satisfied with the average watered-down Americanized Christian faith. To follow Christ is more than punching the church time-clock to receive a moral paycheck.
aBolder.Faith seeks to let Christ affect who we are, at the core, and truly change the way we think and live (Romans 12:2). We aspire after an untamed faith in which we boldly devote ourselves to Him. God is taking us on a journey of discovery and we want you to come along with us.
The purpose of this website is to interact, engage, challenge, and inspire believers and nonbelievers alike. We invite you to ask questions and discuss ideas. Our desire is to cultivate real conversations. You are more than welcome to disagree with anything found on our website. All that we ask is that you keep an open mind and a respectful tone. Our Mission Statement
To challenge one another to think outside the box, grow firm in our faith, and live boldly for Christ.
Who We Are
“Our goal is to… cut through traditional religious mindset.”Simply put, we are unschooled, ordinary men and women who are in love with Jesus (Acts 4:13). Our goal is to explore the Scriptures in a raw and objective way, to cut through traditional religious mindset. We are real people, doing real life, with a real purpose. Some may ask “Does ABF uphold a particular denomination’s doctrine or is ABF affiliated with a particular religious movement?” Simply put, no. We’d rather set any religious labels aside so that we can keep the main thing the main thing and become united in one name, Christ Jesus. With that said, Jesus did start a revolutionary movement and our desire is to continue His purpose.
In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.
Colossians 3:11 NLT
You wouldn’t keep a tree in a box, would you? Not if you want it to grow. Inside that box, it’s growth would be stunted. It would never produce fruit. It would become weak and frail. If a tree were kept in a box, it would die.
That tree is your faith. Question is: What’s your box?
Little do we know, most of us suffer from living in a social, cultural, and religious glass box. Instead of possessing a beautifully unrestricted child-like faith, most adults have a dull sense of faith that’s been domesticated by religion and cultural “norms.” Even within the church, Christians are expected to keep their thoughts to themselves, explore their faith within mapped boundaries, and yet allow God to have His way in their life… not beyond comfortable confinements, of course.
When Jesus called His disciples, they had no idea the challenges and wonders, joy and sorrow, journey and jeopardy that awaited them. Even today, He does not call His followers to be complacent admirers, but rather bold adventurers and proclaimers.
Jesus never called us to a religion, but rather to the Way of life — to walk the road of #aBolderFaith.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Isaiah 61:3b NIV
